En, gebruikt iemand al Firefox ? Wat zijn de bevinginen ? Goed, slecht, voor- en nadelen ?
Ik ben benieuwd...
I've been using Firefox for a while now and I will not switch back to "the-one-we-should-not-say-the-name".
The best point is : no more pop-pups (ever) but you can choose to enable those for a site you would need the pop-ups with.
I also find it rather quick and so far I havent got any "standards" problem related to the display of the webpages.
Another thing I like are all the extensions and themes you can add to your browser.
I also think that Firefox is less sensitive towards the spywares and this kind of craps like the very annoying Search Assistant for instance (got it right away on IE when we formatted my new HD but never again, when Firefox started its duty).
Bad point ...
humm, not to many... maybe the fact that even if Firefox is set to be my browser by default, certain links open, for instance from inside a mail, get regularly open in IE ... I'm not sure why ... some are opened in Firefox and I'm not using OE either ...

Ik gebruik ook Firefox momenteel. Werkt vlotter dan Internet Explorer, maar heeft ook enkele nadelen.
Niet alle webpagina's laden op zoals het hoort.
Op mijn toetsenbord (van logitech) kan ik bepaalde knoppen programmeren om een bepaalde webpagina te openen. Met firefox werkt dat dus niet.
Maar over het algemeen mag ik zeggen dat ik liever met firefox werk dan met ie.

I've just tested on my keyboard (logitech as well) and all the "special" buttons work but "favorites" and "Messenger" but I can click open my homepage, my favorite media and my e-mail, the calculator and the stand-by button too ...
And I havent installed the drivers of my keyboard (which I maybe should do).
Something else though ... not 100% all the plugins would be displayed perfectly ... flash no problem, but for the rest, I'm not sure to be honest *blushes*

(Disclaimer: this is about the _linux_ version. I've never used the windows one.)
I've used it from time to time, works flawlessly - renders more pages than the other two I use (Opera / Konqueror) but is noticably slower in reaction than the other two.
All plugins work perfectly.

hmm. Ik ben hem momenteel aan het gebruiken, en het lijkt mij dat hij toch iets trager is met laden dan explorer, zeker wanneer er twee browsers openstaan.

Laden van pagina's? Of initiele opstarttijd?
Want het laatste is iets waar IE in het voordeel is, gezien 50% (of meer) van de dll's die dat ding gebruikt preloaded worden door windows...
Het laden van graphics op de pagina's vooral.
Internetradio gaat perfect, maar op somige site's zijn dingen die aanklikbaar zouden moeten zijn ook niet altijd aanklikbaar, merk ik.
Dat komt waarschijnlijk omdat het aantal connecties op een server nogal laag ligt.
In de URL-bar eens 'about:config' typen en dan krijg je een hele hoop opties.
network.http.max-connections en network.http.max-connections-per-server staan bij mij respectievelijk op "32" en "16".
Dit geeft alvast een performance-winst omdat ie dan meerdere connecties tegelijk kan openen (wat wordt gebruikt om pix en zo in te laden).
