Menschen,
op zaterdag 4 december is m'n vriendin in 't land (voor degene die het nog niet weten: ja, ik heb een lief, en nee 't es geen uit den .be ...
Eventueel had ik gedacht van 's avonds nog eens mee iets te gaan drinken na den DnD (waar ik dus niet naartoe kom).. vandaar een beetje de vraag: gebeurt dit nog, enzo ja, waar tegenwoordig?

=) ik denk dat er eigenlijk niet zoveel mogelijkheden zijn om ergens iets gezellig te gaan drinken
of te wel in de Klok, of, op de Hopmarkt is der daar nog een "iers" pubken die er deftig uitziet, de Paddy's is echt iets van de Temps Passé ondertussen
dus jaaaa, we komen af
Tenzij ge er een probleem mee hebt dat uw vriendin weirdo's ziet (en dan stelt ge dus nie voor aan niemand van de bende) die zich Ca noemen en eigenlijk 1.90 meter en 105 kilo zijn met grijzende baard, zou ik misschien zelfs eens naar Aalst durven komen.

As for the place, I dont know then ...
The Paddy's is noisy (my personal opinion here), the tables are tinier than in De Klok and some say the food is not as good as it used to be
De Klok, food is quite okay but indeed, it could be a problem for the size of the table

oh, by the way.. by midnight I'm usually sleeping too... too long a week behind as to miss any possible sleep

Actually nad's right tho, should be still a semi decent irish pub at the hopmarkt, but then again it really depends on who all is going to attend or not so we can pick a place that is big enough
Call me silly, but what about some flemish cuisine ?
There might be some typical flemish kitchen restaurants in Aalst, no ?
Of course, reservation would then be probably needed.

A good spot to see for some decent food might be close to the Cat. There is a new restaurant/snack thingy.. Will check if they got vegi-food options.
PS : Will go see at some spots to eat tomorrow. Will post more tomorrowevening. If i don't just poke/bug me for it.

About that restaurant thing, there are some good restaurants around (not in) Aalst wich are worth a visit. If you guys want some ideas, just mail me (or the Witch).

Why don't you all go to the Harry Potter cafe in Welle ? ? Reservations are needed, but we've already been there and the food is super !!! They even have vegetarian spaghetti.
Or to the boon docks, american steak restaurant, but I think you can get vegetarian dishes too.

nope, no website. I'll look up the real name of the cafe and post the adress, it is in Welle, I think the real name is hocus pocus. They have real candles on the ceiling and great tables with spells on it...
can't find it in the yellow pages, hope it still exists

Looks like this is a similar restaurant with the same name, but it is definetly not the same hocus pocus we visited.
This one is not in Welle, and the building is completely different.
Maybe the one in Welle is no more, and they moved to this new location.

Today i wen ton a quest to find a good spot for an foodfest. Hardest part was to travel across the river into the Across-Water terrotory. After several criticals i got the hideous creatures on the run and managed to scout some food spots. (FOR ELLI : NO, i didn't see ya bro :P)
The list of how i scouted them :
1. Edelweiss (no vegetarian/fish 4 person tables tops)
2. Wienerhauss (didn't even bother to check the menu. 4 people at one table would be a dream in there.)
3. Shanghai (Chinese restaurant) 4 people tables (more after reservation?)
4. Lucifer (no veggie/fish) 4 people tables close together so no real problem.
5. Gat van de Mert (no veggie) 4 to 5 people tables.
6. Bij de Griek (Greek) (no veggie but got fish) 6 people round tables. 4 people square tables which might be put together i guess when reserved.
7. Yok Tha (Chinese) They got it all there. Best to reserve if we got a large group.
8. De Kraanvogel (chinese) They had so much dishes i took a list. Tables shouldn't be a problem when reserved.

The Boon Docks is worth a visit. I think they serve vegetarian there. I'll post the address when I get home (or if the Witch still has that info).

Somewhere in the thread Sauron said she only needed to know the exact hour, reason is that she needs to take a train from Landen to Aalst and that it's Weekend service
